On-campus Courses/Exams:

The Testing Center is only proctoring exams for in-person, on-campus courses when a proctor is required.

Proctoring: If your on-campus course requires an on-campus proctored exam please email testing.services@oregonstate.edu (preferred) or call 541-737-8970 for assistance.

Exam materials will be received and delivered via electronic transmission only. Exams can be submitted via upload to our database or by emailing to testing.services@oregonstate.edu . Completed exams will be scanned and emailed back to instructors.

The Testing Center will not be staffed if there are no scheduled exams. All exams and appointments must be scheduled in advance. COVID-19 protocols and physical distancing have been implemented to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff.

Extended time for Canvas exams: Instructors are responsible for inputting alternative testing accommodations into Canvas for all students eligible for alternative testing accommodation. Students with disabilities should receive their extra time on quizzes/exams based on the length of time provided to students in the class; i.e. for a 60 minute exam you would add 30 minutes if the student receives 1.5x extra time accommodation. For exams that have very short open/close availability, DAS students will need separate open/close dates and times and the extra time added to ensure they receive their full allotted time. Please click here for more information.

Please note: Students are advised not to start an exam until the correct amount of time shows in the testing window. Instructors will need to make additional accommodations if the testing accommodation is not set up for the student to take the exam.

Remote and Ecampus Courses/Exams:

Extended time for proctored and non-proctored Canvas exams: Instructors are responsible for inputting alternative testing accommodations into Canvas for all students eligible for alternative testing accommodation.

Students are advised not to start an exam until the correct amount of time shows in the testing window. Instructors will need to make additional accommodations if the testing accommodation is not set up for the student to take the exam.

Proctored Canvas exams: If you are using Proctorio for your canvas exams, please notify DAS Testing Services at testing.services@oregonstate.edu so that a DAS Adviser can work with you to ensure your students have access to accommodations not typically specified (access to food/drink, use of a computer screen reader, etc.) in the notification email. Additional information may be needed to ensure the Proctorio system does not flag the user for accommodations that may fall outside the parameter of the exam environment.

Proctoring on campus: Per university and COVID-19 guidelines, DAS is not proctoring exams for remote courses and Ecampus courses as other proctoring options are available.
