OSU Ecampus Students
Requesting Accommodations
- Please follow DAS procedures regarding documentation requirements.
- Once documentation has been received and accepted, please contact the DAS office to schedule an orientation. If you do not live in or near Corvallis, the orientation may be conducted by telephone. You will need to have access to a computer with an internet connection during the orientation.
- Once the orientation has been completed, you will have a username and password for DAS Online Services so that you can make requests for accomodations online each term.
- Log-in to DAS Online Services to make your accommodation requests.
Please review the specific steps necessary in obtaining accommodations for Ecampus students as identified below:
Alternative Testing
Ecampus students who need proctored exams on campus must follow DAS procedures and timelines for submitting Alternative Testing Contracts and scheduling exams. When submitting the Alternative Testing Contract online, students need only check the Ecampus contract box; it is not necessary to meet with the Ecampus professor when creating this contract. In addition, Ecampus students who need proctored exams on campus must select DAS as the proctor on the "Exams and Proctoring Form" located on the Ecampus web site, in order to take exams with DAS.
Whether or not DAS is proctoring the Ecampus exam, students receiving extended time as an accommodation should ignore the Blackboard automated elapsed time warnings; the extended time will be allowed.
Questions regarding Alternative Testing Services at DAS should be directed to the Alternative Testing Coordinator at (541) 737-8582 (Voice) or Testing.Services@oregonstate.edu.
Notetaking Services
Typically, a notetaker is not provided due to the nature of online classes.
Alternative Formats
Please contact the DAS Alternative Formats Production Manager at Alt.Format@oregonstate.edu.
Captioned Media
Videos/DVDs/internet clips that have an audio component and are used for Ecampus courses must be captioned when students who are Deaf/hard of hearing are enrolled in the class. Please contact the DAS Program Manager of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Access Services at (541) 737-4098 (voice) or DHOH.Services@oregonstate.edu (email) for assistance if any Ecampus courses are inaccessible to you.
