Registering for Accommodations

Select your campus:

OSU Main Campus

Please use the navigation bar to your left to find information on getting registered and DAS services. If you have any questions please feel free to contact our office at 541-737-4098.

As a prospective student, you should contact DAS and provide disability documentation as soon as possible after you are admitted to OSU. If you would like to schedule a meeting with a DAS staff member to learn more about DAS services you can do so by calling 541-737-4098.

  1. Apply to OSU

Disclosing your disability in the application process is not required. Applying for academic accommodations is a separate and confidential process through the DAS office.

See Going-to-College.org's tips on writing the application essay for students with disabilities

  2. Submit Documentation Directly to DAS

Send your documentation to DAS via mail, fax, or scanned documents through email. Visit our requesting accommodations page for more information. After documentation is reviewed, DAS will send email to confirm that we have reviewed your documentation and your eligibility for accommodations.

  3. Visit DAS Drop-in Hours with Your Class Schedule During Your START Orientation Session to Register for Fall Term Services (recommended)

You can find out more information about START by visiting http://oregonstate.edu/newstudents/

Hint: If you are a current student or are admitted for Winter, Spring or Summer terms please skip to step four.

  4. Schedule and Attend a DAS Orientation Session

All students requesting accommodations for the first time are required to meet with a DAS staff member to become oriented to the program and receive information on how to request accommodations each term. Accommodation requests are done through DAS Online Services, a web portal designed to facilitate the accommodation process. During the DAS orientation students new to DAS have the opportunity to connect with a staff member, have their questions answered, and receive their log-in to DAS Online Services.

After your documentation has been submitted and reviewed, you can schedule your DAS orientation by calling 541-737-4098.

Students should plan to schedule their orientation as early as three weeks prior to the beginning of the term. Many students schedule their orientation during CONNECT week, which is the week before classes begin. CONNECT week is a great opportunity for students to become a part of the OSU community by attending events for new and returning students to kick off the upcoming academic year.
