At OSU, academic accommodations for students with disabilities wouldn't be possible without the cooperation and support of faculty, staff and advisors.
Working on a syllabus? New to OSU and not sure how to provide accommodations? This section is for you!
DAS provides an official syllabus statement, approved by the OSU faculty senate, that all faculty members should include in their course syllabi.
Effective Summer 2016, all faculty will be required to use the new syllabus statement. Please feel free to begin using the new syllabus statement as early as Spring 2016.
Accommodations for students with disabilities are determined and approved by Disability Access Services (DAS). If you, as a student, believe you are eligible for accommodations but have not obtained approval please contact DAS immediately at 541-737-4098 or at http://ds.oregonstate.edu. DAS notifies students and faculty members of approved academic accommodations and coordinates implementation of those accommodations. While not required, students and faculty members are encouraged to discuss details of the implementation of individual accommodations.
Academic accommodations enable students with disabilities to have equal access to education, but accessibility isn't just about providing accommodations.
